Comparison with Conventional Satellites*2

Currently*1, the substantial heat generated by conventional space lasers has restricted their use only to large satellites or space stations. But now, Orbital Lasers is developing a compact, highly efficient space laser that can be mounted on small satellites.

This innovative technology allows a reduction in the weight of laser-equipped satellites by more than 70% and cuts manufacturing costs by more than 90%, compared to the current large-scale systems*2.

This breakthrough enables the deployment of a constellation of small LiDAR satellites, offering precise altitude measurements anywhere in the world, customized for various applications.
